Welcome to Micky D´s! This McDonald´s is owned and operated by John & Mary Powers. We both have been involved on a daily basis since 1988.
We are a quick service restaurant that provides good quality hot food in a clean establishment with fast friendly service.
Our philosophy has been to operate our locations in all aspects of the business. This approach has helped us to maximize our sales while providing our customers with a great experience, in locations that are clean and well staffed. We believe that both of our locations operate at an A level due to this philosophy. Another key to our success has been our involvement in our communities and the various organizations that approach our business. We would like to highlight many of the activities that are on going in the Chesterland location due to our limited time in Mentor. These activities include working closely with the West Geauga Education Foundation. We annually hold Thanksgiving Day pancake breakfast in which the Foundation receives all gross profit. Since the inception of this program in 1989 the group has raised over $30,000 for its programs which are directed at local schools in the area. We also have established the All-American Meal Program. This Program gives every boy and girl that participate in the local recreation council baseball or soccer programs a meal at McDonald´s. Every coach receives enough Be Our Guest (BOG) cards so that every child can be selected as a player of the game at least once during the season. Upon the child being identified with his award at the end of the game he or she receives a certificate of accomplishment and a BOG card for a free Hamburger, Fry and Drink at McDonald´s. We are in the process of initiating a similar program in the Mentor area. We also have Ray Kroc Award Scholarship at West Geauga High School. This scholarship is presented annually to two seniors that have provided significant service to the school and community. The scholarships given since this programs inception total over $30,000.
